Xenophobia: My visit to those most affected!

I went yesterday with Benji Shulman to the Methodist Church in town to give supplies on behalf of SAUJS and the Jewish Community. What I saw shocked and amazed me.
I saw people that had wounds all over their bodies from being stabbed, I saw bloodied children that had been attacked in the townships, there was hardly anywhere to walk people slept any where they could found a space, the place stank of blood and bodily fluid.
What hurt me more than anything else that I saw was a small child about a year old that had its right eye basically bashed in, I asked the women that held the child what had happened, she said " When we were running away a man threw a brick at us and it caught my child on the side of his face and the blood just poured out...
Guys this is a disgrace for all South Africans and I call upon all South Africans to unite against these attacks and support the displaced as much as possible!
Shabbat Shalom
